Kobe ink Monogatari
After the earthquake that devastated the city of Kobe in 1995, Nagasawa, which had been part of the city since the late 19th century, set out to demonstrate that every corner of Kobe held a unique color.
The Kobe Ink Monogatari series captures these tones.
From Maiko-koen*, you can see Awaji Island in the distance across Akashi-kaikyo**. (*Koen=Park, **Kaikyo=Strait) Maiko-koen has many old pine trees, which still provide people with a sense of security and warmth. This color expresses this splendid pine tree with astringent green.
