Nagasawa Kobe 07 Kaikyo Blue  

After the earthquake that devastated the city of Kobe in 1995, Nagasawa, present in the city since the late 19th century, set out to show that every corner of the city had its own color. The Kobe Ink Monogatari series preserves these hues.  

The Nagasawa Kobe Ink Monogatari #7 Kaikyo Blue is a fountain pen ink inspired by the deep blue of the Akashi Strait, over which stretches the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge—the world's longest suspension bridge, connecting Honshu and Shikoku in Japan.  

This strait is recognized as one of Japan’s prime fishing grounds, and the ink captures the various shades the sea displays depending on weather conditions.
