The Nagasawa Original FL derives its name from the acronym FL (for lawyers), catering to the demand from fountain pen users (not just lawyers, of course) who spend long periods writing and require a particularly comfortable feel. To achieve this, a metal grip section is used, providing smoothness in handling and, more importantly, shifting the pen’s center of gravity towards the writing end, ensuring hours of comfortable handwriting.

To complete the design, the Nagasawa FL features a wide central ring from special editions and a matte black finish that pairs especially well with white gold details and the 21K nib manufactured by Sailor, engraved with the Kobe house crest.
