Pilot Iroshizuku To ro 50 ml is a warm orange fountain pen ink inspired by the glow of a lantern after the rain. Compatible with all fountain pens, it offers smooth flow and excellent performance. Glass bottle with individual silver box. Made in Japan.
Pilot’s To ro ink from the renowned Iroshizuku collection features a warm, glowing orange inspired by the gentle light of a lantern shining after the rain. The Iroshizuku series pays homage to the rich landscapes and poetic atmosphere of Japan, where each color captures an emotion, a place, or a moment in nature. To ro evokes the quiet beauty of a softly illuminated path, bringing calmness and a sense of intimacy to handwriting.
The name Iroshizuku combines the Japanese words “iro” (color) and “shizuku” (droplet), reflecting the idea of pure, delicate drops of color inspired by nature. In the case of To ro, the orange tone mirrors the comforting glow of a traditional Japanese lantern—an enduring symbol of guidance and tranquility. Thanks to its excellent flow and balanced saturation, this ink enhances every stroke with warmth and expressive clarity.
Formulated exclusively for fountain pens, this ink is compatible with any brand and ensures smooth, consistent flow while protecting the nib. The elegant 50 ml glass bottle is designed for clean, efficient filling, allowing you to use the ink to the very last drop. To appreciate the depth and luminosity of To ro’s warm orange hue, we recommend using high-quality paper that enhances shading and color accuracy. Papers such as the Midori MD Cotton Pad A5 or Midori MD Cotton Pad A4 offer excellent absorption, crisp line definition and optimal color reproduction.
This ink comes in Pilot’s signature glass bottle containing 50 ml of Iroshizuku To ro, packaged in an individual silver-colored box. Please note that colors shown may vary slightly depending on the paper used.
