The Pilot Custom Enju Fountain Pen features Japanese pagoda tree wood, a bicolor 18K nib and traditional details that reflect calm and refined craftsmanship.
The Pilot Custom Enju is a premium fountain pen that combines natural materials, refined craftsmanship, and exceptional writing performance. Crafted from Japanese pagoda tree wood (Sophora japonica), this pen is not only aesthetically unique, but also rich in meaning. Regarded as an auspicious tree since ancient times, the Enju was introduced to Japan with the arrival of Buddhism and used as a medicinal plant. It is also traditionally seen as a talisman for longevity and safe childbirth.
Each pen body is individually turned from natural Enju wood, which is then resin-impregnated to ensure structural durability without sacrificing warmth and texture. Every piece is unique in tone and grain. A clear protective lacquer enhances the natural beauty of the wood. The gold-plated accents and classic Pilot clip contribute to a balanced and timeless look. The final result reflects Japan’s attention to detail and reverence for nature.
This model supports Pilot's CON-70 (included) and CON-40 converters, as well as IC-50 ink cartridges. However, due to its limited ink capacity, we do not recommend the CON-40 for this pen at Inktraveler. The screw-type cap offers secure closure with a smooth twist. The bicolor 18K gold nib ensures a smooth and precise writing experience with minimal pressure. The Enju is ideal for long sessions, providing comfort, elegance, and exceptional flow.
The Pilot Custom Enju comes in an individual box, with a CON-70 converter installed, one black ink cartridge, and a black roll-style pen sleeve—perfect for storage or travel. Official Pilot documentation is also included.
Available in F (fine), M (medium), B (broad) and BB (double broad). Each nib offers a distinct writing personality, from precise and controlled lines to expressive, bold strokes.
Founded in Tokyo in 1918 by two naval engineers, Pilot set out to design writing instruments suitable for maritime use. Over the decades, it became a global reference in quality and precision, without losing its Japanese identity. Every pen reflects a balance of technology, aesthetics, and soul.
Pilot continues to follow five guiding principles:
Thanks to this philosophy, Pilot continues to offer writing instruments that last, inspire, and connect.
"Where wood speaks: every stroke with the Pilot Custom Enju expresses calm, care, and natural elegance."
Impresionante
Excelente.
Excelente producto y servicio
Plumín muy suave y servicio extraordinario.
