Sailor Ink Studio 767 Fountain Pen Ink 20 ml is one of the brightest and most energetic green shades in the entire Sailor Ink Studio collection. Its vibrant lime green colour combines freshness, intensity and outstanding visual impact on the page. Inspired by some of nature's most vivid greens, Ink Studio 767 delivers a cheerful and dynamic writing experience capable of transforming every page into a celebration of colour.
Since 2005, Sailor has organised Ink Studio events in Japan, where the company's master colour mixer, Osamu Ishimaru, creates custom colours for participants using a genuine ink-mixing bar. Over the years, more than 20,000 different colours were developed, drawing on both accumulated expertise and feedback from thousands of users.
In 2018, Sailor launched an ambitious project: selecting one hundred representative colours from the more than 20,000 shades created through these events. The result was the Ink Studio collection, a series in which traditional colour names disappeared and every ink became identified solely by a number. Part of the experience lies precisely in avoiding preconceived ideas and discovering each colour for yourself.
Each number represents a unique formula developed by Sailor. Ink Studio 767 stands out within the collection as one of the brightest, freshest and most instantly recognisable greens in the entire range.
Ink Studio 767 features a vivid lime green colour with yellow undertones that give it remarkable brightness and vitality. It is a fresh, optimistic and highly visible shade that immediately stands out on the page while maintaining the elegance characteristic of Japanese fountain pen inks.
It is particularly appealing for journals, illustration, sketching, creative planning, visual note-taking and projects where colour plays a leading role.
Like many inks in the Ink Studio collection, 767 offers attractive shading that adds depth and movement to writing. Areas with heavier ink concentration reveal deeper and more saturated greens, while lighter strokes display brighter, more yellow-toned shades.
When used with medium, broad or music nibs, these variations become especially visible, creating pages full of life and chromatic richness.
Sailor Ink Studio 767 delivers the excellent performance for which Sailor inks are renowned. Its flow is smooth, consistent and pleasant, allowing users to enjoy long writing sessions comfortably.
This is a non-waterproof dye-based fountain pen ink designed to maximise colour expression and writing pleasure. It offers good lubrication, relatively quick drying times and excellent performance on quality fountain pen friendly papers.
To fully appreciate everything Ink Studio 767 has to offer, we recommend using high-quality Japanese papers such as those available in our Japanese writing paper section. Different papers can reveal more yellow or greener nuances, allowing users to better appreciate the shading and chromatic richness that characterise this ink.

The Ink Studio series perhaps represents this philosophy better than any other collection, celebrating experimentation, creativity and the endless exploration of colour.
"Sometimes an ink does not have a colour. It has one hundred possibilities."
