The MD PRODUCT A5 Codex 1 Day 1 Page Journal Blank has been created to turn daily writing into a personal habit and, over time, into a unique book of your own. Its 368 pages allow you to dedicate a full page to each day of the year, with complete freedom to record thoughts, memories, ideas and notes or create sketches.

Made in Japan and crafted with renowned MD PAPER, this journal provides a particularly enjoyable writing experience with a fountain pen. Its Codex binding, with the thread-sewn spine intentionally exposed, allows the notebook to open completely flat from the first page to the last, an especially useful feature in a notebook of this thickness.

The idea behind the MD Notebook 1 Day 1 Page is simple: a complete page for every day without a predetermined structure restricting how you use it. There are no schedules, boxes or fixed layouts. Each page can be used differently depending on what you want to record or remember that day.

Once its 368 pages have been completed, the journal becomes more than simply a notebook: it becomes your own personal book, ready to be kept on the shelf alongside your favourite books.

Codex binding: 368 pages that open completely flat

Despite containing 368 pages and measuring approximately 20 mm thick, the journal uses a thread-sewn Codex binding. The spine is deliberately left exposed, allowing the pages to open virtually flat and making writing comfortable at the beginning, middle and end of the notebook.

The corners feature perforated lines. After using a page, the small perforated corner can be removed, creating a simple and practical way to quickly locate the next available page.

MD PAPER: Japanese paper designed for the pleasure of writing

The pages are made from 80 g/m² MD PAPER, a paper developed in Japan since the 1960s with particular attention to the sensation and performance of writing.

Its subtly textured surface provides pleasant feedback as the nib moves across the page, allowing you to feel the interaction between fountain pen and paper. At the same time, MD PAPER offers excellent resistance to ink bleed-through and feathering, making it particularly suitable for fountain pen users.

This combination of tactile feedback, ink performance and simplicity is at the heart of MD PAPER. Rather than drawing attention to itself, the paper is designed to enhance the experience of writing.

Blank pages for writing, drawing and complete creative freedom

This reference corresponds to the blank, unruled version. With no lines or grids to restrict the page, it offers complete freedom to combine handwriting, drawings, diagrams, sketches or any other type of notation.

A discreet space at the bottom of each page is provided for writing the date and page number, helping you organise your journal without interfering with the main writing area.

Index stickers included

The notebook includes index stickers that can be attached to the endpapers or other areas of the journal. They can be used to create references, identify periods, organise different types of content or add notes once the notebook has been completed.
