Sailor Ebonite Sculpture Yokaze Night Breeze Fountain Pen
Inspiration and Concept
This fountain pen was created with the idea of picking up a pen at the end of the day to spend a memorable night. Its name, Yokaze —meaning “night breeze”— evokes the wind that flows through empty streets, where silence heightens every sensation. The surface captures that serene, profound atmosphere of the Japanese night.
Design and Material
Each Sailor Ebonite Sculpture Yokaze is carefully carved from solid ebonite, considered one of the finest materials for fountain pens due to its warmth to the touch and excellent aging properties. The cap and barrel feature a deep vertical engraving representing nocturnal air currents, giving the pen both texture and subtle reflections under the light.
Technical Details
The pen is fitted with a 21-karat gold nib that delivers a smooth, balanced writing experience. The filling system accepts cartridges or converter, both included, along with a Sailor ink bottle to start writing immediately. The set is presented in an exclusive black box with molded interior.
Material Characteristics and Care
During the manufacturing process of ebonite, small irregularities, dots, or shallow dents may appear, caused by natural rubber particles or inclusions in the raw material. These are not defects but intrinsic features of the material that highlight its authenticity. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or fluorescent light, as ultraviolet rays may cause slight discoloration or surface haze over time.
