The tsuru (Crane) nib of this Pilot Custom 743 is nibmeister José Munuera from Niblab's interpretation of the classic Naginata Togi. Starting with a Coarse size 15 nib and through meticulous grinding, it achieves line variation based on the writing angle: fine when writing at a higher angle (more perpendicular to the paper), medium at a normal writing angle, and broad when writing at a lower angle.

The iridium modified by Niblab also incorporates a line variation between horizontal and vertical strokes, allowing for writing with greater nuance.
