Concept and design

This practical design features a simple and easy-to-use illustration of a fountain pen with ink. The upper and lower parts of the frame provide space to write, allowing you to add a short message or title. The date and mark sections can be changed by turning the dial, while the outer fountain pen illustration remains fixed.

Functionality and usage

Turn the dial to select the day, month and one of the 12 included symbols. With a single stamping action, both the fixed fountain pen frame and the date appear at once. Ideal for organizing your agenda, marking anniversaries, or adding a personalized touch to labels and greeting cards.

You can also color the impressions with water-based markers to create unique decorations. The oil-based pigment ink is specially formulated so it will not smudge. Each stamp includes an ink pad with capacity for about 2,000 impressions. When the ink runs out, it can be refilled with official Midori refills such as the Midori Black Ink Refill for Paintable Stamp.

The mechanism works in the same way as other Midori rotating stamps, as shown in this official YouTube video. The difference is that this date model prints both the fountain pen frame and the date together in a single impression.

Precautions for use

• Keep out of reach of children under 6 years old.
• If ink comes into contact with eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor.
• Before use, read the enclosed instructions and insert the ink pad correctly.
• Handle the ink pad carefully, as the ink may stain your fingers.
• If you will not use the stamp for a long time, remove the ink pad and store it with the cap closed. Leaving it installed for too long may deform the surface.
• Test the stamp several times before first use to ensure even inking.
• Always stamp on a flat surface.
• Do not press too hard, as excess ink may cause bleeding and thick lines.
• Keep the printing side facing you to avoid stamping the design upside down.
• As this stamp uses oil-based ink, avoid staining clothing or delicate fabrics.
• Depending on the paper used, the ink may dry slowly, bleed or show through.
• Do not rub the rubber surface strongly with fingers or sharp objects, as it may damage the stamp.
• Do not store near open flames or in high temperatures (such as inside a car in summer or under direct sunlight).
