The Nagasawa Profit – For Lawyers Fountain Pen is a refined reinterpretation of the classic Sailor Profit body, designed by Nagasawa to provide an enhanced writing experience. Part of the FL (“For Lawyers”) series, this model was developed with long writing sessions in mind, balancing comfort, control, and Japanese elegance in one compact tool.
The FL name—“For Lawyers”—reflects the pen’s original purpose: to offer reliable support to those preparing for Japan’s bar exam. However, its benefits quickly gained popularity beyond the legal world. The metal grip section shifts the center of gravity forward, closer to the nib, making the writing experience smoother, more stable, and less fatiguing even over long hours.
The barrel is made of matte black acrylic resin, a finish that highlights the white gold detailing with a subtle and professional contrast. The grip section is crafted from brass with a black ion-plated (IP) finish, offering a firm feel and excellent durability. The large 21K solid gold nib, tipped with iridium, provides smooth, precise writing and is available in four sizes: EF, F, MF, and M. The nib is engraved with a weathervane motif, Nagasawa’s signature symbol of balance, guidance, and tradition. A wide central ring—typical of special edition models—adds a final touch of understated refinement.
This pen uses a reliable and convenient Sailor cartridge or converter system (both included). Its compact proportions, forward balance, and refined response make it a perfect daily or professional companion.
The pen comes in Nagasawa’s original standard box along with official documentation. At Inktraveler, we include a beautiful glass ink bottle as a special courtesy, so you can begin enjoying your new writing instrument from the very first moment.
The Nagasawa Profit – For Lawyers is a compact, confident writing tool that unites tradition, functionality, and elegance. A daily companion for those who write with discipline and purpose.
