In 1984, Apica introduced acid-free paper notebooks in Japan, at a time when most paper would deteriorate over time due to humidity and environmental factors. The goal was to create a writing surface capable of preserving written content for years without degradation. This led to the launch of the C.D. Notebook in 1987, combining reliable construction with a refined writing experience.
In 2012, Apica released the Premium C.D. Notebook series, focusing on paper as the central element. Under the idea that paper should be chosen with the same care as a fountain pen, new formulations were developed, including A.Silky 865 Premium, designed to deliver an exceptionally smooth and precise writing feel.
In 2022, the evolution continued with the Premium C.D. Notebook ONE. Unlike the original Premium version, it adopts a single-section notebook structure, making it lighter and more flexible, adapted to modern, more dynamic usage while maintaining the same writing quality.
