The Custom Heritage 912 with Double Broad (BB) nib lays down a bold, perfect for dramatic signatures, eye-catching headers and colour-shading enthusiasts. True to Pilot tradition, the pen delivers silky smoothness, steady flow and flawless balance in the hand.The nib of this model is the BB (double broad) one, in a Japanese fountain pen usually the iridium is finer than the occidental BB nibs.

Design & feel

Glossy black PMMA resin with flat-top ends nods to Pilot’s 1960s classics, while rhodium-plated trim and an engraved “Custom 912” centre band add understated polish. At 137 mm closed and roughly 20.5 g inked, the pen feels substantial yet never heavy; the gently tapered grip keeps marathon writing sessions comfortable.

Broad #10, 14 k gold nib

Hand-finished by Pilot craftsmen, the 14 k Broad nib offers a buttery-smooth glide across any paper. Its rounded tip produces an even, wet stripe that showcases shimmer, sheen and shading like few nibs can. Ideal for bold signatures, expressive journaling or simply enjoying a lush flow of fountain-pen ink.

Filling system & capacity

The pen ships with Pilot’s CON-70 converter (≈ 1.1 ml), more than double the capacity of the standard CON-40 (0.4 ml). The push-button plunger fills in a single plunge and flushes clean just as easily. Travelling? Swap in a Pilot IC-50 cartridge (one black cartridge included) for a quick, mess-free refill.
