Pilot Capless Limited Edition 2025 Link Midnight features a deep midnight blue satin guilloché finish and an 18K black-gold retractable nib (click mechanism). Includes CON-40 converter, cartridge, exclusive case, and a surprise gift from Inktraveler.
The Pilot Capless Limited Edition 2025 Link Midnight —also known internationally as the Vanishing Point— is this year’s annual release of Pilot’s iconic retractable fountain pen. With its deep midnight blue tone and the signature click mechanism, it captures both the energy of Tokyo’s night lights and the precision that defines Japanese craftsmanship.
The body is finished in a deep midnight blue with a satin guilloché texture, offering a striking visual and tactile effect. Matte black details reinforce its contemporary and understated character. This design completely hides the nib inside the pen body, operated with a simple click mechanism: one press extends the nib ready to write, and another press smoothly retracts it back into the pen.
At the heart of the pen lies an 18K black gold retractable nib, an exclusive finish that gives a bold and refined contrast. This detail highlights the pen’s limited-edition status while maintaining Pilot’s renowned smooth and reliable writing performance. The click system makes it one of the most practical fountain pens for everyday use.
The Link Midnight can be used with Pilot/Namiki ink cartridges or the included CON-40 converter. The converter is fitted with small silver balls inside, ensuring smooth ink flow and preventing interruptions. To fill it, remove the nib and converter from the body, immerse the nib in an ink bottle, and twist the converter slowly until filled.
Since 2003, Pilot has launched a new limited edition Capless every year. The 2025 Link Midnight symbolizes the connection between the metropolis at night and the serenity of the midnight sky. Made in Japan in limited quantities, it is an essential collector’s piece for those seeking innovation, design, and exclusivity in a writing instrument.
The pen is presented in an exclusive hexagonal blue case with white interior, accompanied by a Pilot CON-40 converter and a blue ink cartridge. It also includes a surprise gift from Inktraveler, specially chosen to enrich your writing experience. (Photos are for reference only and may vary slightly from the final product).
Since its launch in 1963, the Capless series has been a pioneer in fountain pen innovation, introducing the world’s first retractable nib system. For over six decades, Pilot has refined the mechanism, achieving the perfect balance between design and functionality that characterizes today’s Capless models.
Pilot’s story began in 1918, when naval engineers Ryosuke Namiki and Masao Wada created a fountain pen durable enough for use on merchant ships. That first creation gave rise to the PILOT brand, named after the guiding ship leading the fleet. A century later, the company continues to uphold the spirit of leadership and craftsmanship.
Pilot’s philosophy is built on five guiding principles:
“Click, and let the midnight sky write with you.”
