The introduction of the Pilot Capless marked a turning point in fountain pen history. By eliminating the traditional cap and integrating a push-button retractable mechanism, Pilot created a writing instrument that could be deployed instantly with a single click.

The Decimo model features more streamlined proportions than the original Capless design. Its name refers to being the tenth evolution within this capless series. Slightly thinner and lighter, it offers a more slender feel in hand while preserving the same mechanical reliability.
Performance and filling system
Fitted with a retractable 18K gold nib, the Capless Decimo delivers smooth, consistent ink flow and precise control. The internal sealing system protects the nib when retracted, helping prevent ink from drying out. It operates with Pilot cartridges or a converter (not included), allowing compatibility with bottled inks.
