Design concept

A glossy black PMMA resin body, flat-top ends and rhodium-plated trim echo Pilot classics from the 1960s while remaining refreshingly modern on any desk. Soft Fine #10, 14 k gold nib

Hand-tuned in Japan, the SF nib features thinner tines and a strategic side cut-out that grant controlled springiness. Light pressure yields a consistent fine stroke; press a touch harder and the line broadens to roughly 0.8 mm, adding character and ink shading without risking tine misalignment.

Filling system & capacity

Supplied with the CON-70 converter, the 912 holds about 1.1 ml of ink—more than double the standard Pilot CON-40’s 0.4 ml. The push-button mechanism fills cleanly in a single plunge and rinses out just as easily. When you need a quick, mess-free refill on the road, simply swap to a Pilot IC-50 cartridge; the pen accepts both without fuss.
