The Platinum 3776 Century Chenonceau White GT pays tribute to the Château de Chenonceau, one of France’s most elegant Renaissance castles. Known for its serene beauty and historical significance, the château serves as the inspiration for this fountain pen’s graceful design. The pen features a smooth white AS resin body that evokes the soft tones of the castle’s stone walls, complemented by gold-plated accents that reflect classical refinement.
Balanced and comfortable in the hand, this pen is perfect for daily writing or for those who appreciate the harmony of function and subtle beauty. The gold trim adds a regal touch, making this model a timeless expression of elegance.
The Chenonceau White is part of Platinum’s 3776 Century series, named after the height of Mount Fuji (3,776 meters) as a symbol of perfection. It features a white AS resin barrel paired with three ornamental rings and a clip finished in gold-plated brass and beryllium copper.
This model is equipped with Platinum’s patented Slip & Seal mechanism, which prevents ink from drying out even after long periods of non-use. The airtight seal ensures a smooth writing start every time. The pen accepts Platinum ink cartridges (one included) and can also be used with a converter (not included).
Presented in an exclusive case, the pen includes one blue-black ink cartridge. (Images are for reference only. Actual product may vary slightly.)
Founded in 1919, Platinum Pen Co. has earned its place among Japan’s most respected writing instrument manufacturers. With a focus on craftsmanship and technical innovation, the brand has made a lasting mark through iconic designs such as the 3776 series.
The original 3776 model was introduced in 1978, designed by the late Haruo Umeda—known as “Mr. Fountain Pen”—in collaboration with Platinum’s design team. It quickly became a commercial success, with over 150,000 units sold in just six months.
Between 2009 and 2011, the brand undertook a complete redesign of the series using over 40,000 handwriting data points gathered by its subsidiary Nakaya. The resulting “Motosu” and “Century” models were created with new molds, materials, and a commitment to long-lasting performance and beauty.
"A writing instrument inspired by the château’s light, captured in gold and white."
