Limited-edition matte white fountain pen with two rhodium-plated gold hearts in a zirconia-accented dome, Slip & Seal cap, and includes converter, cartridge and Mixable Ink bottle.
The second edition in Platinum’s Shape of a Heart series reinterprets the iconic 3776 Century with a romantic design full of symbolism. Its signature detail lies in the cap finial: a transparent dome encasing two 14k gold heart-shaped pieces, created when punching out the breather hole in the nib. Normally melted and recycled, these tiny fragments are preserved here, plated in rhodium and placed alongside zirconia crystals—symbolizing union and affection between two people, making this a uniquely romantic writing instrument.
The body is made of nearly white ivory-colored resin with a rare matte finish achieved through blasting. It retains the classic "cigar" silhouette of the 3776 series, designed for optimal writing balance and comfort. The trim—including the 14k gold nib, clip, and rings—is finished in rhodium, subtly enhancing the brilliance of the finial crowned with the two hearts.
A hallmark of the 3776 Century line is the patented Slip & Seal screw-cap mechanism, which creates an airtight seal to prevent evaporation and ink dry-out—even after more than a year of disuse. The redesigned feed and nib ensure consistent ink flow and a reliable writing experience at all times.
Strictly limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide, this special edition comes in a premium presentation box. It includes a Platinum converter, one blue-black cartridge, and a 20 ml bottle of Platinum Mixable Ink in Earth Brown, with a faceted glass design and a silver cap engraved with the Shape of a Heart emblem (unlike the usual black cap).
Named after Japan’s Mount Fuji (3,776 meters high), the 3776 Century series represents the peak of Platinum’s fountain pen design. Since its debut in 1978, it has evolved through continuous innovation, comfort, and refinement. The Shape of a Heart Ivoire edition continues this tradition with a poetic gesture of love and enduring elegance.
"Two hearts sealed in crystal—an eternal expression of connection through writing."
