The Platinum 3776 Century Black Diamond Tsuru Nibmeister RT is a rare collector’s piece, hand-modified in Spain by the renowned nibmeister José Munuera (@Niblab). Based on the Black Diamond model from Platinum’s celebrated 3776 Century series, this fountain pen features a translucent black resin body with rhodium trim and is fitted with the unique Tsuru nib—a tribute to Japanese artistry and European craftsmanship.
The Tsuru Nib by Niblab
The Tsuru (“Crane”) nib is José Munuera’s artistic interpretation of the classic Naginata Togi style. Carefully reshaped by hand from a 14K gold nib, it offers line variation depending on writing angle—fine when held vertically, medium at a natural tilt, and broad when used at a low angle.
This dynamic range also provides clear contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes, resulting in an expressive and aesthetically rich writing style. Far from a mere functional customization, the Tsuru nib is a work of art—blending control, fluidity, and tradition.
