Taccia Ukiyoe Hiroshige Ruri 40 ml Fountain Pen Ink belongs to the second edition of Taccia’s Ukiyo-e Ink Collection, inspired by the work of celebrated Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858). His landscapes, roads and urban views are distinguished by an exceptional ability to portray light, water and changing weather through apparently simple compositions and deeply evocative colour.
Taccia’s Ukiyo-e collection began in 2019 with a first series inspired by Hokusai and Sharaku. A second edition followed in 2020, dedicated to Hiroshige and Utamaro. The four Hiroshige colours are Asahanada, Ruri, Nakamurasaki and Ainezu. Together, they interpret different aspects of traditional Japanese colour and the rich chromatic depth found in ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
