Grid layout and design
The understated grid makes it easy to align handwriting, divide pages into sections and draw proportional shapes. Each square offers a visual reference when precision is helpful, while the open page still allows ideas and illustrations to extend beyond the printed structure. Photographs, tickets, labels and travel ephemera can also be pasted onto the pages to create a personal record.
Its tall, narrow proportions provide a practical writing area while preserving the distinctive shape of the Regular Size TRAVELER’S notebook. The refill can be installed inside a leather cover or used independently as a lightweight notebook for one project, destination or subject.
MD Paper for fountain pen writing
MD Paper is designed to provide a smooth, controlled writing experience. Its surface works particularly well with fountain pens and helps minimise feathering and ink bleeding through the page. It is also suitable for rollerballs, ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils and standard pencils.
Performance may vary depending on ink flow, nib width and drying time. When using a broad or particularly wet fountain pen, allow the page to dry before closing the notebook. This helps keep facing pages clean and protects completed notes from accidental smudging.
Modular refill system
The notebook fits beneath the elastic band inside a Regular Size TRAVELER’S notebook cover, with no rings or rigid mechanism required. Connecting bands can be added when combining several inserts, making it possible to keep a planner, journal, sketchbook and project notebook together inside one cover.
This modular system allows the leather cover to remain in use while completed inserts are replaced or archived. Different refills can be assigned to separate purposes, creating a flexible notebook that changes according to each user’s work, travels and interests.

Brand history and philosophy
TRAVELER’S notebook was launched in Japan in 2006 with a leather cover and five different refill options. Its modular design allowed each owner to shape the notebook around individual writing and travelling habits.
