Airplane design and travel character

The front brings together an airplane silhouette, the TRAVELER’S notebook name and the words “Have a nice trip.” Arranged like a vintage luggage label, these details turn a practical notebook tool into a distinctive part of the Traveler’s Company design language.

The decoration is pressed directly into the brass, allowing the material to remain the main visual feature. Its warm finish coordinates with brown, black, camel, blue and olive leather covers and becomes increasingly individual as the surface matures.

Developed to hold notebook pages open

Traveler’s Company considered the material, dimensions, shape and spring strength specifically for its notebook system. Attached to the edge of a refill, the clip keeps pages open while writing, checking a diary, sketching or arranging photographs and collected paper items.

It is equally useful when photographing a completed spread. By keeping the refill open and stable, the clip helps produce a clearer image without holding the pages by hand. Between uses, it can remain attached to the leather cover or a refill and travel with the notebook.

Rear hole for wall display

A hole on the back allows the clip to be fixed to a wall with a suitable drawing pin or support. An open refill can then be displayed as a calendar, inspiration board, visual journal or decorative feature. Always check that the fixing and wall surface can safely support the combined weight.

Solid brass with a natural patina

Brass gradually changes colour through contact with hands, air and daily use. Over time, the surface develops a deeper patina and individual marks, giving every clip a slightly different appearance. This transformation is not a defect but an expected characteristic of solid brass.

Brand history and philosophy

TRAVELER’S notebook was launched in Japan in 2006 as a system built around a leather cover and interchangeable refills. Its design encourages owners to keep the same cover for years, adapt it to different purposes and allow the materials to record each experience. Passport Size followed in 2009, with brass products and other functional accessories later joining the collection.
