The Platinum 3776 Century Black Diamond RT is a refined writing instrument that combines a translucent black resin body with rhodium-plated details. This model, part of Platinum’s celebrated 3776 Century series, offers a perfect balance of modern design and exceptional Japanese craftsmanship.
Ideal for writers who appreciate understated elegance, its RT (rhodium trim) finish enhances the pen’s minimalist appearance with subtle metallic shine. Lightweight and well-balanced, the pen is comfortable for everyday writing, journaling, or signing with style.
The 3776 Century series is named after the height of Mount Fuji (3,776 meters), symbolizing Platinum’s pursuit of perfection in writing tools. The Black Diamond edition retains the classic silhouette of the series while offering a darker, more modern aesthetic that suits professionals and pen collectors alike.
Equipped with Platinum’s patented Slip & Seal mechanism, the cap creates an airtight seal to prevent the nib from drying—even after a year of non-use. This ensures the ink flows immediately, offering a smooth, reliable writing experience. The pen uses Platinum ink cartridges or the included converter for bottled ink.
Each pen includes a Platinum converter, a blue-black ink cartridge, and a complimentary ink bottle from Inktraveler. It comes in a standard presentation box, ideal for gifting or everyday use. (Images are for reference only. Actual product may vary slightly.)
Founded in 1919, Platinum Pen Co. is one of Japan’s most respected fountain pen manufacturers. The brand is known for combining meticulous craftsmanship with continuous innovation. The 3776 series takes its name from the height of Mount Fuji—Japan’s highest and most iconic mountain.
The original 3776 was released in 1978, designed by the late writing expert Haruo Umeda—also known as “Mr. Fountain Pen”—in collaboration with Platinum’s design team. Within six months of its launch, over 150,000 pens had been sold, marking the beginning of a series that remains popular to this day.
Between 2009 and 2011, Platinum undertook a major technical renewal, incorporating over 40,000 writing samples gathered by its subsidiary Nakaya. The nibs, feeds, and all structural parts were redesigned using new molds and modern machinery, resulting in the current “Motosu” and “Century” models that reflect a perfect harmony of form and function.
"Because every stroke deserves to begin with precision—even after time has passed."

De maravilla.
La pluma lo que esperaba, fenomenal, escribe perfectamente, el trazo genial, no falla en ningún momento. Y sobre la atención y el envío nada que decir, mejor imposible. Muchas gracias por el tintero.
